Schedule update

American Idol 2022 Live Shows Begin April 11 with Special Celebration

There is another major update to the American Idol season 20 schedule. After Season’s 20 Top 20 (Sun. April 17), Top 14 REVEAL (Mon April 18) and Top 14 performances (Sun April 24) are added : “Judges Song Contest” Monday April 25. (Is ABC trolling NBC’s American Song Contest with that episode title?) And Disney Night Sunday May 1. The info comes from FutonCritic.com, details yet to come.

UPDATE: 4/1: The Top 24 eliminations will drop down to a Top 20, which is a 3 hour episode… The Top 20 will be whittled down to a Top 14 (not a Top 16 as in prior seasons).

UPDATE: 4/4: That special Idol celebration will take place on Monday May 2. Not clear on when the show will tape.
