Write for us – Guest post contributors guide

We welcome new contributions from our growing community. Here are our instructions about Write for Us – Guest post contributors guide.

What you need to know

Word count:

900 words.

Tone:

You must be inclusive, accessible, and generally positive. You can look at several of our posts and other contributors.

Original Content:

We seek content that is unique and original. We do not accept posts that have already been published or submitted elsewhere. Nor any you plan to distribute to other websites.

We are not interested in SEO-driven submissions:

We are not interested in if you work for a content farm. Or are writing articles for the sole purpose of linking up keywords to boost SEO?

Or to plug a product or brand name in a post. Also, no submission or bio references or promoting a business or service that is not in line with our philosophy (e.g. a weight-loss gimmick).

Your Bio and Promotion:

Since we do not compensate contributors for posts, we’re more than happy to include a byline and your brief bio containing links to your website, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and X Twitter accounts.

We will promote your posts through social media for a short “newsworthy time frame” – currently 3 days. Please keep your bio to two or three sentences. VCM and subsidiaries are a great resource to promote yourself.

Subject matter claims:

In your article’s subject claim, you should include a link to that source. Each subject matter can have a source article for reference.

Ideally, you’d link to peer-reviewed scientific papers, academic journals, and/or credible news outlets. This way, readers can follow your line of thinking and investigate further if they want to know more.

Submission timing and acknowledgment:

We love connecting with new contributors. Generally, we don’t have the opportunity to respond to all submissions. Please allow 7 days for submissions to be reviewed, revised, or rejected. Please only submit one post at a time.

By submitting to VCM you acknowledge that you accept our terms and any form of editing that might occur by our editorial team.
