This hit home for me on so many levels. My wife, Cheri passed away 4 years ago from Metastatic Breast Cancer, just like Natasha, and only lasted 17 months from her diagnosis. I cried at each and every one of these songs thinking of her. She was a warrior just like Natasha. I was able to get a law passed in Nebraska to force radiologists to inform their patients when they have Dense Breast Tissue, which can hide cancer because they both show up white on a mammogram. She had 5 years of “normal” mammograms and was told when she said she felt a lump that it didn’t warrant further testing because she didn’t have a first degree relative with BC! Come to find out later that having Dense Breast Tissue (DBT) is a higher indicator of breast cancer than having a mom with it! Now Cheri’s Law is helping women across Nebraska to find their tumors sooner and hopefully in time to get it all removed from their bodies. Thank you for this tribute and for bringing back such beautiful memories.
