American Idol judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan auditioned singers in three cities including Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Nashville. Season 21 with host Ryan Seacrest, will premiere on ABC Sunday, February 19, 2023.
American Idol revealed the American Idol 2023 Platinum Ticket Winner for Season 21 on the show’s social media sites. Congratulations to Elijah McCormick who nabbed the perk-filled ticket.
He sang a soulful version of “God Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts (WATCH), After graduating high school, Elijah was in a serious car accident shortly before his planned summer 2019 American Idol audition. He spent 79 days in the hospital having numerous surgeries to fix his shattered body. Finally, he receives an invite from the show, and Elijah finally got the chance to sing.

American Idol 2023 Showcase Round is a Top 60
American Idol 2023 Showcase Round will be taped on December 11. OCA also confirms that a Top 60 will compete:
Hollywood Week is Coming!
For new American Idol fans, the American Idol 2023 Showcase Round is a live performance that happens right after Hollywood Week ends. Several hundred Hollywood contestants are whittled down throughout the week leaving a number to advance to the Showcase round–typically between 40-60 singers. It’s a fun round, as the contestants sing full songs with a full band in front of a LIVE audience for the first time.

Caroline Kole post-produced an original song video – toured with Reba McEntire as a child for two years, had music featured on CMT, and had a record deal. Also, a publishing deal with Sony, before transitioning into pop music in 2018 and was a standout contestant on the NBC competition Songland (2019-2020.
Next Jayna Brown now 21 appeared on AGT and made the semi-finals at the age of 14 in Season 11. She received the golden buzzer from Louis Tomlinson in the judges cut round after her performance of “Rise Up.” Hopefully, Idol will attract a new audience to her vocal charisma.
Kya Monee appeared on American Idol Season 19, singing gospel and R&B songs. Since Idol, she has performed on Sundays in the Park and has a following on social media. You may recall this moment in time when she was paired with the late Willie Spence. Kya will go far this season.
Marybeth Byrd appeared on The Voice Season 17 advancing to the semi-finals. Now a 21-year-old college student has won Young Artist of the Year from the Arkansas Country Music Awards. She has also released a single titled “Truly Livin’.”

Megan Danielle became a favorite with her Blind Audition joining Team Kelly. Her raspy tone stunned on emotive pop, soft rock, and country ballads pathway to the semifinals. 19-year-old Megan has performed at her church performing her worship music. Audition – Remedy

Nutsa Buzaladze appeared in several overseas franchises including New Wave Winner & Kenga Magjike 2021 Winner. The singer has also competed in The Voice of Turkey, Georgia’s Got Talent, All Together Now, and others. She is now 25 and resides in Dubai, where she has continued to pursue music.
Rebecca Brunner appeared on the Voice for a short period. Songhouse, has appeared on The Today Show and Kelly Clarkson Show. Her song “Round Hole” has nearly six million views on social media.
Samuel Harness appeared on The Voice Season 21.
Tyson Venegas at age 14 appeared on The Voice Teens (Philippines) 2020. With a pop singer vibe he maybe a strong competitor with a Canadian home support following this season.
Wé McDonald appeared on The Voice Season 11, age 17-year-old is somewhat famous Blind Auditions of all time, with her different speaking to singing voices. From a 4-chair turn to placing third on team Alicia behind Sundance Head and Billy Gilman. Now 23, the singer has kept up a strong social media presence with over 500 thousand followers.
