A new season of the UK franchise is set for release Monday, June 5, 2023. Post-show events are now all in the current headlines and here is a sample for you. Love Island UK 2023 Top News read.
Maya Jama will be presenting once again and joined by comedian Iain Stirling as the show’s returning narrator.
Love Island’s 10th series will begin with 10 initial contestants arriving in paradise, but viewers can expect the usual bombshells and latecomers coming in to turn heads and shake things up for the new couples.
“There’s never a dull moment in the ultimate search for love,” ITV said.
“More texts, fire pit gatherings and challenges await the lovestruck Islanders, meaning there’ll be plenty for them to dish the dirt on in the beach hut. Twists and turns will follow every step of the way, with shock recouplings, unexpected breakups and dramatic dumpings.”
Jama will also catch up with the dumped islanders on the Aftersun, where she will also interview the contestants’ families, celebrity fans, and ex-islanders.

Is anyone really surprised that most if not all of them will end in the dustbin of life?
It may be a good time to reset your own calibrations in what we want as entertainment.

Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan were crowned winners of the winter Love Island 2023 on Monday night – beating original couple Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins to the £50k cash prize.
After eight weeks of drama, viewers picked the social worker and PE teacher – who fell for one another during Casa Amor – as their champions.
The couple, both 24, were speechless when host Maya Jama announced the results during the live final in South Africa.

And Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, Tayna Menhenga and Shaq Muhammad, Tom Clare, and Samie Elishi have all made it through.
Sadly, Will Young and Jessie Wynter narrowly missed out on their place having been dumped during the penultimate episode following a public vote.

Ron Hall and Shaq Muhammad clash in a ranking challenge as the group is tasked with picking the top three most game-playing couples.
Will Young kicks things off by saying Tanya Manhenga and Shaq, 24, fall into the category, something which the pair do not take lightly.
He says: ‘Ron just made Lana his girlfriend because everyone likes Lana.’
Ron hits back: ‘That’s outrageous’, before Shaq replies: ‘How’s it outrageous bro?’
Daily Mail
And the drama didn’t end there as Ron appeared to pick up past feuds at his former love rival Casey with a nasty swipe last night.
During the task, Ron made a nasty barb after Will’s throw fell short in the game. He joked: “Bit short, like Casey…” But Casey looked unimpressed – and eventually got his own retort, as he branded another throw as weak “like Ron’s chat”.
Mirror
Maya Jama enters in a vibrant red dress and makes her way to the balcony to say: “You all look like you’re having a cute little time, sorry to crash the party, could you all line up in your couples please.”
Wales Online
Maya then dropped the news that the three other vulnerable couples remained at risk, and that two more stars would be next to leave that same night – with it later suggested that all of the couples, including those saved by the public, could be sent home.
Mirror
These were Olivia and Maxwell, Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga, Claudia Fogarty and Keanan Brand, and Casey O’Gorman and Rosie Seabrook.
Mirror
It’s then that the eliminated Islanders Olivia and Maxwell discovered they had a part to play, and that it would be up to them who stayed and who left the show for good, in scenes that have already been filmed.
As the Islanders reeled and those at risk waited to hear their fates, the episode ended on a cliffhanger – meaning fans will not find out the result until Thursday night’s episode.

They reveal their cut from their appearance could have been better. The pressure to film and turn the boy’s heads all happened over two and half days, yet we see it for the week.
Both entered the show to find a man and love.
Love Island’s explosive movie night continued delivering the goods on Thursday, but left both Samie Elishi and Shaq Muhammad in tears, while Tom Clare walked out of the villa.
A tearful Samie said: ‘You haven’t been honest about what happened when I wasn’t here’.
Movie night caused drama for Olivia Hawkins, Casey O’Gorman and Tanya Manhenga of course, but it all turned into too much for footballer Tom.

Six new boys and girls enter the villas to add spice and drama for the islanders. WOW
Is 21 which makes him the youngest of the tribe to enter. He will likely find a friendship or two but most of the girls are older than him. Depends on his maturity level.
Love Island: SR9 on ITV2 and ITVX. Pictured: Kain Reed. ©ITV Plc
Age: 21
From: Gateshead, Newcastle
Job: Energy Consultant
Kain says of who he hopes to couple up with: “If I had my choice it would be Samie, as soon as I start talking to her I think there’s a good chance it could happen. I also like Lana, she’s obviously coupled up, but in Casa Amor the other boys aren’t there so we’ll have to see what happens won’t we?!”
Same notion as his pal above, age, maturity and appeal.

Job: Steel Erector
On who he wants to couple up with, Ryan says: “Samie, because she’s great to look at and I think we have the same interests. We both want to travel, so I’d love to travel around the world with her.”
Same as the first two lads, age and maturity level.

Frankie says: “There’s two girls that have caught my eye.. one would be a more difficult one to pursue.”
Age, maturity, and appeal will decide his journey. 23, is still younger than most of the girls, except Samie.

Age: 23

Job: Finance Student and Restaurant Host
Maxwell also has his eye on Samie: “She keeps it real and she seems like she’s not afraid to speak her mind.”
25 is a good age, depending on who is chases after or who chases him as well. Maybe the lad with the most chance to turn a girl’s head.
Love Island: SR9 on ITV2 and ITVX Pictured: Bayley Mummery. ©ITV Plc
Age: 25
From: Surrey
Job: Operations Manager
Bayley says of who he wants to couple up with: “Samie, she’s my type to a T. If you asked my mum or dad my type they would literally describe her.”
Eldest of the Amor entrants, has a good opportunity in timing, depending on his maturity and appeal.
Love Island: SR9 on ITV2 and ITVX. Pictured: Martin Akinola. ©ITV Plc
Age: 27
From: Dublin
Job: Senior Software Engineer
Martin tases of the current Islanders: “I don’t just have one person, I’ve got options…”
At 28 she has the maturity to appeal to a few of the lads, maybe Kai or Shaq. She may want Ron and or Will but I don’t think the latter will turn.
Love Island: SR9 on ITV2 and ITVX. Pictured: Layla Al-Momani. ©ITV Plc
Age: 28

Job: Brand Managing Director
Layla says of who she wants to couple up with: “Ron! He’s cheeky and he’s like a lad. I really fancy Will, too. My type is Louis Theroux and he just gives that vibe. I also fancy Shaq, but he seems to be unavailable!”
One of the best chances for boys to turn a head or two who want either Casey or Tom to rock.

Sammy shares: “I’ve got my eye on Casey. He’s my number one, he’s cheeky! His blue eyes remind me of the ocean and I love the ocean; it makes me feel calm and connected. That’s the way he’s probably going to make me feel. I also like the fact that he looks a little bit like Bradley Cooper who is definitely my celebrity crush! And then Tom – for the eye contact!”
In the pocket for a chance with Tom or Will, maybe with Shaq as a third option if he still wants to explore after Tanya took on after him.

Age: 25
From: North London
Job: Dental Receptionist and Baker
Cynthia reveals: “Tom is the kind of guy I’d go for on the outside and Will looks like my exes!”
Maybe she can turn Casey, Tom, Ron, Kai is her first choice. Maybe she can win a permanent connection with one of the undecided in the villa.

He’s not my usual type, but there’s something about him that attracts me physically. Casey, he doesn’t seem that serious and I think you could have fun and banter with him.”
She is Samies age, and wants to chase Casey, as do several girls, she may end up drawing Tom, Kai’s attention this week.

The last of the 22-year-old entrants this week, she has an interest in Kai and Shaq and may turn all their heads. This week will keep her busy!
