Week 1 Winners
Kseniya Simonova, Ukraine’s Got Talent 2009 winner – Sand Artist, an emotional experience watching Kseniya and her sand painting. Instead of using paper, she decided to use sand as her platform. She uses her stories to help children with cancer to fight the disease. This is unique and breathtaking. Watch. Golden Buzzer act! Take a breath everyone. Her heart was moved by her story, the quiet skill, you did it all with just sand. Simon called her performance off the chart. One of the best acts in the world. David, the urgency, transitions, across all boundaries. Alecia, creative and clever well deserved golden buzzer.
Superfans voted for…
top 3 was…Ashleigh and Sully, Bello and Annaliese Nock, Boogie Storm… Ashleigh and Sully eliminated. Bello and Annaliese Nock advanced. Paul Potts was eliminated.
Bello and Annaliese Nock, America’s Got Talent 2017 / 2018 – Comic Daredevils, Bello and his daughter competed on AGT, combine for The Champions. Expect jaw-dropping moments! The wheel of death, performing together on stage risking life…and they did. Certifiably insane compliment, and amazed you are both still alive. Incredible act, dizzy watching, fun showmanship, well done, loved both of them. No gb even though calls were made.
Paul Potts, George Sampson, Richard Jones, and Collabro as well as some of the show’s other most memorable acts including Stavros Flatley and Twist and Pulse.
International acts set to wow the audience include Ukrainian sand artist, Kseniya Simonova; Danger act, Deadly Games; Alexa Lauenburger and her incredible dogs; and what could be the most terrifying performer yet, The Sacred Riana.
Opinion About this Series
This is the UK version of Champions Series where previous winners compete for money and fame (again). #BGT Britains Got Talent 2019 The Champions News Reviews.
These six shows were prerecorded to accommodate all the various needs of production and the artists. Gathering the best acts from different schedules was a difficult task and not all acts were able to appear in this series, mainly due to other commitments or other reasons. No spoilers here.
The US version recorded late 2018 aired in early 2019 and while a rating success on prime time American television revealed issues within production. One example was the use of the so-called superfans, a group of show fans from over the 50 states who watched the episode and represented the public input over the series. Recording a public vote for this edition will be revealed in the first episode.
Comparing this series to a normal round of shows is different in the fact that the viewers already are familiar with these acts or have some knowledge of their brand. Or may, in fact, be a new reveal to some younger viewers. It is fair to say that many hardcore watchers will already have one or more favourite artists performing in this series. Which creates the audiences personal conflict, choosing between the acts each week. Yet the audience does not actually vote. Remember the superfans?
Choosing one winner as the best seems a forlorn experiment, because who wants to choose only one when each act can be unique to another. For example, a singer versus a magician. I do not find it plausible to consider voting between two personal favourites as say Paul Potts and Lost Voice Guy as they are two different genres. That is the point where the series loses my interest. Notwithstanding the superfan aspect!
On the other hand, I will enjoy seeing both these acts on the first episode and view their personal growth in their latest performances.
Good luck viewers in choosing a winner or enjoying the series. The verdict was reached several weeks ago and the winner has leaked to the public.
You will find videos and some comments on this highlights page.
