Sarah Grace – Amazing Grace (Traditional Hymn). Kelly calls her plan to sing the song and play the trumpet with a changing dark secret introduction, the dirty sound out in her instrument. Cute as hell as well said, Kelly. Vocal this was striking, with an interlude of instrumental that maybe was distracting… for me at least! JHud that was beautiful. Kelly called her soulful and intelligent artist…insane rendition.

The Knockouts Show 3

Chevel Shepherd (Travelin’ Soldier – Dixie Chicks) vs. Sarah Grace (I’d Rather Go Blind – Etta James) – SAVED BY KELLY

With the Mariah Carey, and the youngest this season…they all fangirled! Chevel chose this song because it was close to her heart, her brother served in the army. It is a special song for her and her mom, they used to sing together when the brother was deployed. Mariah called her vocal pure. She wants her to sell the story to the audience. Lots of words and breathing is important. Sarah was next, Kelly called this one of her favorite songs of all time. This is her favorite song to fall in love with the blues! Good choice. Mariah called her so seasoned and was impressed by her vocal. It is all about confidence… do the dropped note, sustaining the ending! These two opened the show! Chevel was first to sing. Sarah was second to perform.
