Windows 10 vs 11 Features & Changes. A side-by-side comparison of Windows 10 and Windows 11, comparing features like the start menu, taskbar, apps, and other differences between both Windows versions.Timestamps: Intro 0:00Start Menu 0:06Taskbar 0:59General UI 2:13Sounds 4:47Action Center Replacement 5:54News Feed vs Widgets Panel 7:05Snap Assist & Multitasking 7:30Apps & Programs 8:32Tablet UI 11:03Windows Setup 12:46Windows Update 14:01
Very detailed comparison…However you forget one tiny thing, In windows 10 you can open new explorer window by middle clicking on explorer icon in taskbar which is missing in windows 11 like many other useful things. Also In multimonitor setups windows 11 does not show time on second display taskbar, not sure if it even display taskbar on second display. Edit: looks like it’s fixed in recent builds of windows 11.Thanks for the comparison, it was quite insightful. I’m a bit disappointed that much of the customizability Windows 10 had was removed. Being able to group apps in the start menu for instance was a great organizational feature to keep things from cluttering. While I understand the desire to keep things simple for users by default, I wish there were more advanced options for people who want to customize their experience. This is especially ironic considering how Microsoft marketed their OS initially, as feeling like home. If I wasn’t allowed to change anything in my own house, it might be someone’s home, but it certainly isn’t mine. I do like Windows 11 aesthetically though, and maybe they can improve, or maybe this’ll just be the traditional bad OS that constitutes every other release Microsoft does. Let’s seeThank you for highlighting all the changes, and confirming that 11 just isn’t for me. I hope the folks who adopt it enjoy it, but it’s not for me. I really don’t appreciate how Microsoft keeps complicating things for technicians who have to fix issues, like the network icon bringing up that quick action center. If I’m clicking network, it’s because I have a network issue, I don’t need to see brightness and accessibility when troubleshooting a network problem for instance. I need to see what my network is actually doing.
