Schedule

From the how to play section

The Battles end on April 8. Then a Top 17 on May 6 (that is the apps close date on a Wednesday). Or in other words, 4 weeks of auditions, 3 weeks of battles and 3 weeks of KOs.

Then assume Top 17 May 4th, a Semi-final May 11 and a Finale May 18!

Latest news or speculation….as to the final spoilers –

Is it Legit that. Samantha Howell is Kelly’s Save?

Yes.

We know the remaining results for Mandi/Sara and Tayler/Jules are that Mandi and Tayler win and Sara and Jules are eliminated/go home. With Megan having performed in the knockouts, that leaves Samantha as Kelly’s save by default.

I attended a knockout taping for S18 and the performances are so much better in comparison to the blinds and battles. I personally believe Cammwess, Mandi Castillo, Toneisha, Levi, Allegra, Joanna Serenko, Cedrice, Zan, Megan Danielle, and Tayler Green gave their strongest performance during this round.

also, even though Cammwess and Thunderstorm are not a KO pairing Cammwess outsold Thunderstorm with his performance, so I understand why John dumps Thunderstorm after stealing back Cam…

Mandi T won the knockout looking at Anaya Instagram she isn’t following kelly nor mandi t

Allegra beat Michael and Nick named Allegra the winner of the battle. However, moments later, Michael was saved by Nick and will now compete in the new Four-Way Knockout against the other coaches’ saved artists.

EARLIER post

If Gigi Hess auditions to Kelly then….

Tayler Green vs. Jules (confirmed)

Mandi Thomas vs. Sara Collins (confirmed)

Micah Iverson vs. Chelle

Megan Danielle vs. Anaya Cheyenne (KELLY’S SAVE) – which if this is case – Kelly bb what is you doin picking Megan over Anaya.

Samantha Howell vs. Gigi Hess

The speculation is correct that Todd Tilghman won his battle on Team Blake. Todd Michael Hall lost his battle but is Blake’s save, hence why he was still in LA (source didn’t specify if they were partners or not). Additionally, Tate Brusa moved on to KO’s as part of Team Nick, so he won his battle. No info about their specific battle partners or anything, just their results.

Which leads me to my theory for Nick’s battle steal: Jon Mullins.

-Blake’s KO pairings are officially Toneisha/Cedrice, Joei/Levi, and Todd T./Cam (no confirmed winner yet on Todd/Cam), with TMH as his 4-way knockout contender.

-Team Denny’s (Todd T/TMH/Joei/Toneisha/Jon) was all Team Blake and clearly all performed on Day 1 of battles.

-There’s no more room on Team Blake and Jon would’ve had to fly home the next day, but because he didn’t, we can assume he made it to KO’s and the only available possibility left for him to do that is being Nick’s steal

-They edited in a comment about Nick implying that he would want to steal Jon last night.

So I think that by process of elimination/default/whatever, Jon Mullins has to have been stolen by Nick to move on to KO’s.

I’m sure this makes you guys love Nick Jonas even more than you already do.

the conversation continued with this suggestion/theory…

Assuming Jon is the steal, we have:

Allegra Miles vs. Jacob Miller

Arei Moon

Jon Mullins (steal)

Tate Brusa

Michael Williams, Roderick Chambers, or Anders Drerup (Gigi and Anders are unplaced, but we know Gigi was likely back home during KO’s and know nothing else about Anders)

If I had to guess, we’d get Tate/Michael and Arei/Jon as a default pairing.

Or if it’s Roderick, then Arei/Roderick and Tate/Jon as a default pairing.

Zan Fiskum – 22 years old from Seattle OR, She is somewhat independent living in her own RV on her family’s property. She turned Nick, John, then Kelly during her audition. She chose John because of her belief he is more suited to her style.

Mandi Thomas – classically trained singer…Team Kelly.

JULES she is 15 years old, from Arizona, and has a strong commitment to singing, writing music at 10, then singing 12. Now can play 3 hours of her own music! This is her go to place to escape. She changed some of the arrangement in the audition. Worth it and got this! Blake turned then Kelly at the final 20 seconds or close to it. She went with Kelly and felt some connection with her.

Nick: Jacob Miller – 29 years old – a three chair turn, folk and jazz inspired… he likes the 20’s music…twentieth century not 21st century. I think Nick offered him to sing with his brothers…but may have walked that back somewhat!

John: Mike Jerel, see leaked audition

Open lane on Kelly’s team was her pitch. Intense conversations… His mom chose John. He chose John~

Blake: Jon Mullins – singer songwriter, 32 from Nashville, TN…married, health issues with his wife drew them closer…she wants him to succeed. Blake was the only one to turn and celebrated hard! Kelly called him great.

Jacob Daniel Murphy – California… another single turn win for Blake Shelton.

Kelly: Anaya Cheyenne

Ari Tibi from Carlifornia… – no turns for this audition…

Roderick Chambers 38 from Miami, Florida…started a band when younger, lasted a decade, then moved away to California…working locally in singing environments…Nick was first and only turn.

Jared Harper 22 years of age from San Fransisco, CA. He has some roots in music, and a hearing disability, but he’s a no-chair turn.

Michael Williams 18 years of age from Ohio…with a digestive disorder…and he was a little under the note…maybe nerves…but Nick turned. He needs some work and Nick will do it for him.

-Gigi Hess is hinting she appears this Monday

Kevin Farris and Cedrice (last blind) confirmed they won’t air until 3/16

-All 4 of John’s female contestants are yet to air so we’ll get 1-2 on Monday

-No news yet from: Anders Drerup, Brittney Allen,  Cam Spinks, Kailey Abel, Mandi Castillo, Micah Iverson, Michael Williams, Roderick Chambers, Zan Fiskum

If Michael Williams and Mandi Castillo confirm, we can get both of the Jacobs, Mandis, and Mike/Michaels in the same episode

Tuesday Night Spoilers

Arei Moon – Nick blocks Kelly – 28 years of age…featured the live version of Clarkson’s… Miss Independent. She talks about being a strong woman and her mother as a strong role model. And it took her almost the entire performance to notice she was blocked. Speaks volumes…or was it staged. Kelly wrote the song. Not sure this block is a good thing for the auditioneers….it robs them of a chance to chose that coach. More evidence the show is all about the coaches…not the people. Needs to go. Arei was corralled with Nick.

Levi Watkins – Blake was the old turn for him. He is 14 years of age…and out comes the age obsession…yes sir, yes maam from him. He plays guitar and mandaline, music is his friend. Blake called it an incredible vocal, a cool version with the mandaline. He called out the other coaches for not turning.

Cassidy Lee 23, from Jacksonville Florida. She is a family centered singer and shared the loss of her father’s story with us. We feel you you Cassidy…you made him proud! No turns. Her email handle is from her admiration for Nick…she is still a fan. Comeback Cassidy!

Zach Day…was John Legend’s first shown turn of the night…Kelly turned….Born and raised in Kentucky…he has never fit in to his community – according to him. He has a focus on his music. Kelly liked his runs, impressive…Nick rebuts the word. Legend spoke mindblowing, amazing and other words, like liquid…more Kelly arguments and reading from her smart phone…He chose Team John

Chelle 18 from Indianna – she collects rocks an introvert person, music is her confidence and feels good…Blake turned extremely early….followed by Nick. Legend gave himself an upper cut…Nick wants to write songs for her…fresh blood Nick. Kelly wants her to flourish by letting go. Blake spoke to her solid note pitch – then it got so off line with the others trying to gang up on him. Nick makes his final pitch…and Kelly as the only female pointed to herself. She chose Kelly! Good choice for her. She gave each coach a rock to represent each. Blake got fools’ gold.

Toneisha Harris 44, years young, originally from Maryland now residing in Georgia, this rendition of the classic moved all four to turn. Her backstory is a hard one to listen too, however, her son’s illness stopped her from auditioning many years ago. He recovered and here she is. Definitely a moment in life for reflection. Was it flawless, no, but she has the mature vocals to move well into the competition. Wishing her and her fans success.

A lot of pitches...in the end she chose…Team Blake

Here are the remaining chair turners:

Anaya Cheyenne

Roderick Chambers

Jacob Daniel Murphy

Anders Drerup

Chelle Sue (goes by just Chelle)

Premiere Night – Spoilers

This show is all about featuring the coaches, their music and personalities. The contestants and their aspirations rate a distant second. Producers fill a season with an adequate number of contestants and secure advertising to pay for their budgets. Just another season for the coaches to self promote their music and concerts.

Todd Tilghman – We Got Tonight – 41 – Meridian, Mississippi. He has been married for 21 years main gig is at church. Eight children and no spare time. 4 chair turn – Todd Picks Team Blake. Blake was really happy with Todd’s choice and personality. He celebrated real hard.

Nelson Cade III – Pride and Joy – 27 – Anaheim. California – He has a long musical singing journey, sang with Stevie Wonder, studied classical piano and his personal hero is John Legend. 4 chair turn, but John blocks Nick. Nelson picks Team John. I guess Nelson was not offended by Legend denying Nick the opportunity to pitch.

Tate Brusa – Perfect – 16 – Salt Lake City, Utah – He is a high school student and plays multiple instruments. Blake and Nick turn. Tate picks Team Nick.

Tayler Green – Issues by Julia Michaels – 27 – Currently resides in Los Angeles, originally from New Jersey, works in a shoe store owned by her brother. She has been writing songs since 14 years of age…her own rendition… Kelly and Nick turn. Tayler picks Team Kelly. Both appeared excited in this connection.

Ashley Plath – Baby It’s You – 20 – Middletown NJ – She performs in a duo called Nick & Ashley and is a meter reader. No Turns. Many encouraged her to return…with a song which showcases her range more.

Darius Lyles – How Do You Sleep by Sam Smith – 30 – Chicago IL – Darius sang in church for many years, reconnected with his birth mom, and lost his adopted parents. John and Kelly turn. Darius picks Team John.

Megan Danielle – Remedy – 17 – Georgia – She works in the family restaurant and sings at open mic nights. Kelly was her first choice, and called out Blake for not turning…Team Kelly. She was funny and has a unique tone.

Chrissy Joly – Don’t Let Me Down – 32 – Brooklyn NY – The family is from Haiti. No Turns.

Todd Michael Hall – Jukebox Heroes by Foreigner – 50 – Saginaw MI – He loves rock with a Blake and John turn. Todd Picks Team Blake.

Emily Bass – Love Yourself by Justin Bieber – 16 – Texas – Returning from last season – no turn Emily is a no turn from last season. Another no. All the coaches were extremely nice to her and Nick offered her a momento face drawing. Emily find your dream!

Joanna Serenko – All My Lovin’ – 18 – St. Louis MO – A heritage of nursing family. She presented a controlled own rendition…showcasing her artistry. A four chair turn. Kelly called her unique.  Nick stood up for a fight and told her so. However, she chose Team Nick. Burn John burn…

First Look clip released

Season 18 of The Voice will feature two changes. For the first time ever, there will only be three weeks of live shows, as opposed to the usual five or six, which means that every week will matter.

“It makes the stakes higher than ever,” Morrissey says. “You can’t scoot by on any week thinking, ‘Oh, I’m doing pretty well and we’re only losing one person this week, so I’m going to take a risk with this unusual song choice. I’m not quite sure, but I’m going to give it a go.’ There are some ramifications to that and what we ended up doing is adding some really exciting twists to the show.”

Another change is that in the Battles, there have always been two steals. This season, instead, there will be a steal and save, which is how the Knockout Rounds used to be formatted.

“What’s interesting is the steal is someone who joins their team,” Morrissey explains, “The person they save ultimately ends up being part of a four-way Knockout. So, each coach has one save and that person isn’t necessarily part of their team or part of a knockout between two people on their own team. All four of them go into the first-ever four-way knockout. And then instead of that four-way knockout being adjudicated by the coaches, that four-way knockout will be voted on by viewers. And we’ll reveal the winner of that knockout in the first week of lives, essentially our playoffs, so that’s very new. Viewers are able to vote in the show earlier than ever before.”

Here is the first look clip released today…let the spoilers fall!

“You can have my jacket” likely Allegra.

Cedrice – turned John but we already know she’s the last chair turner.

Nelson Cade at 1:55 – he turned at least John’s chair.

Tayler Green at 2:24 timeline.

Toneisha Harris singing I Want to Know What Love Is

Tate Brusa singing Perfect with Nick on guitar. He turned at least Nick but not John.

Arei Moon singing at 0:29/1:32. She’d turned at least Nick at that point – we know Kelly was blocked, she ended up with Nick. Female at 0:29/1:32 is Arei Moon.

What is a four way knockout? – read below.

How does this four-way knockout work?

Unconfirmed –

The four battles saves proceed into a four way knockout.  It is similar to the wildcards except only happening before the playoffs.

The normal playoffs – however, one team will consist of an additional member.

Ashley Plath Instagram | Youtube

Chrissy Joly Instagram | SoundCloud

She doesn’t seem to have made knockouts with a show in Boston between battles and KO’s.

Mike Jerel Instagram | Youtube

Mike Jerel goes all the way back to season 12, posting a reveal photo does NOT mean that the person turned a chair.

Brittney Allen Instagram | Youtube

She’s followed by Joanna, Mandi, and others – Mandi Castillo’s follow was very recent. I’m leaning towards her being a chair turner. She’s got decent vocals but as seen on AGT, she’s struggled in the past. Hopefully she’s worked on that stage fright.

She only follows John. And his wife. Both recent follows.

Behind the scene by staff, Alan Carter, the Director.

We hear Carson Daily say live playoffs. around 5:00 mark at 4:58 you can see a bit of the teleprompter he talks about the four way knockout and the live playoffs.

Cast of acts to watch this season…update list

Micah Iverson: Kelly Clarkson claims Micah as a potential winner.

Megan Danielle: A comparison to Claire DeJean can be argued but not quite to the laters level.

Zan Fiskum: Has the potential vocally to progress past live shows.

Toneisha Harris:  Your season 18 diva and likely to make it to the semi finals or plus.

Joei Fulco: Hot act according to some.

Cedrice Webber: A potential who needs to develop her vocals along the way.

Mandi Thomas:  She has already outsold Katie Kadan and locked into the live shows.

Cam Wesley: Watch this guy as a winner, knows how to fight due to being dumped twice.

Thunderstorm Artis: A potential finalist, however, his journey has been full of team changes, can be positive or negative in the end.

Samantha Howell: A final potential contender, like many she needs good songs, and brilliant coaching.

Cam Spinks: may make the finale aside from his journey to date.

Mandi Castillo: Performs in both English and Spanish which means Kelly Clarkson will value that for the Latino voters.

Earlier updates….

-Brandin Jay is not confirmed to be on Team John anymore, but is still confirmed as a chair turner that likely made KO’s based on his location/stories.

Megan Danielle (Piece by Piece – Kelly Clarkson) vs. Cam Wesley (Say Something – A Great Big World) – STOLEN BY JOHN (Nick tried stealing as well)

-Cam got a standing ovation; both were very emotional

-Cam was originally Team John, faced Brandin Jay in battles, they apparently sang Señorita…

TEAM NICK

Allegra Miles (Chandelier – Sia) vs. Jacob Miller (TBA)

-Average KO, No steal

TEAM JOHN

Mandi Castillo (Stand By Me – Ben E. King) vs. Thunderstorm Artis (Preach – John Legend) – STOLEN BY NICK

-Both were good, Thunderstorm has a unique tone but messed up the beginning of his song

-Both were originally 4 chair turns

TEAM JOHN

Zan Fiskum (The Story – Brandi Carlile) vs. Joanna Serenko (Angel from Montgomery – Bonnie Raitt) – STOLEN BY BLAKE

-Both were good, Zan’s tone is more “piercing” while Joanna’s tone is more “specific”

-Joanna was originally Team Nick and turned Nick and Blake at the blind auditions

TEAM BLAKE

Joei Fulco (TBA) vs. Levi Watkins (TBA)

-Both good, Joei was “generic country”, Levi had a big voice

-Blake chose off of a “gut feeling,” but Levi was better

TEAM KELLY

Micah Iverson (Graveyard – Halsey) vs. Tayler Green (Time After Time – Cyndi Lauper)

-Both were good but the coaches had all been rooting for Tayler and were practically saying goodbye to Micah

-Kelly said Micah’s performance was so good that she expected him to make the finale and his battle song was a Lewis Capaldi song

-Kelly had another gut feeling – chose Micah; people were surprised

-Micah is Kelly’s only guy post-KO apparently.

No saves for KO’s again, steals all used during the first taping as expected.

The 4 saves from battles will be competing in a 4-way KO and America will choose the winner.

Blake was the only coach with a steal left at this stage. This taping actually had 7 battles – apparently there was going to be a coach performance of “Jealous.”

BATTLES SPOILERS

Winners bolded on left, steals/saves italicized.

Taping 3:

Thunderstorm Instagram

1. Team Legend: Thunderstorm Artis vs. Cedrice Webber – Stay (Rihanna) – CEDRICE STOLEN BY BLAKE

-Thunderstorm was a 4-chair turn and may have auditioned with Blackbird; Cedrice was the last blind audition of the season (therefore 1-chair). John called Cedrice a “goddess”

-Source said the battle had a strong emotional connection and it was very well done.

2. Team Kelly: Mandi Thomas vs. Sara Collins – My Baby Loves Me (Martina McBride)

-Mandi was better; Blake said both were sharp – focusing more on Sara. Kelly said Sara had no vibrato because she runs out of air, while Mandi could do a variety of genres

3. Team Kelly: Tayler Green vs. Jules – Water Under the Bridge (Adele)

-Tayler was good, but Nick commented that she needed to hold back a bit on some parts

-Blake said Jules’ enunciation and the way she affected her voice made it hard to understand her

4. Team Blake: Levi Watkins vs. Jamal Corrie – Counting Stars (OneRepublic)

-Levi is 14 and has a surprisingly big voice.

-Coaches kept praising Levi as “perfect” and said Jamal was “inconsistent.” Source thought that vocally, they sounded great together and it was a fun/energetic battle.

5. Team Nick: Arei Moon vs. Samuel Wilco – TBA

-Voices went well together and coaches seemed to agree that it was even, Nick made his choice on personal preference.

-Kelly was blocked in blinds from getting Arei.

6. Team Blake: Cam Spinks vs. Kailey Abel – TBA

-The coaches thought Cam was vocally better, but Kailey had more energy

-Source enjoyed the battle and they actually preferred Kailey a little bit, but agreed that Cam hit some impressive notes throughout

7. Team Nick: Jacob Miller vs. Kevin Farris – Lights Up (Harry Styles)

-Kevin was inconsistent vocally while Jacob was technically perfect, but had no real “inspiration” according to John

Other:

-Apparently coaches can save a contestant even after they leave the stage? At least it was somehow mentioned

-Nick was the most enthusiastic coach according to the source; he took notes of every contestant in a notebook

-Jamal Corrie thanked “Bebe” in his goodbye speech. Bebe Rexha might be Blake’s battle advisor.

Voice Season 18 Contestant Spoilers Teams read

Nick Jonas is joining in season 18, 2020 upcoming Spring Season. He will be sitting alongside Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson.

Carson Daly is scheduled to return as host. Goodbye to Gwen Stefani for the season.

You will find previews, actual performances, and results in this post. Spoilers for the knockouts and into the commencement of the live shows revealed below.

Schedule for Season 18 – subject to change

News from producers, only one show per week in the midseason series…then back to twice a week shows during the lives…three weeks in May!

Who is watching the Game of Gameshow?

“The Voice” returns to Mondays on Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. for Cycle 18, adding multi-platinum and award-winning recording artist, actor and songwriter Nick Jonas to the coaching lineup along with fan favorites Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton. “The Voice” lands on the schedule once a week in midseason, making way for hit show “Ellen’s Game of Games” to keep its prime spot on the schedule for a few extra months before “The Voice” moves back to twice weekly for the always-anticipated live shows over the cycle’s final three weeks in May. The combined strength of “The Voice” and “Ellen’s Game of Games” on the schedule each week bring in a big live audience and act as strong launching pads for the network’s scripted dramas.

CONTESTANTS

Below is a list of names that, through social media (primarily Instagram), we’ve concluded may have auditioned for the show. They CANNOT be 100% confirmed as chair turners as of yet. This is primarily speculation.

Please DO NOT directly message or harass the contestants begging for a follow or asking for spoilers. They are all on a contract and could get in serious trouble for discussing anything about the show! Additionally, annoying the contestants could lead them to lock their accounts/setting them to private, which limits our access to info for further rounds.

DO feel free to follow them if you’d like and check out their music on Youtube/Instagram/wherever else. Enjoy!
(and I cannot stress this enough… DO NOT try to directly contact them)
