Keep showing your teeth. Flinging the pony! Luke called her a rocking jumpsuit, digging in more and more each week. Richie told her she has the star attitude.
Laine Hardy – I Don’t Need No Doctor by Joe Cocker/Ray Charles – second to perform tonight. A rock version with his guitar in hand on stage with four backup singers. He tweaked the music in the performance. Luke enjoyed the right song choice and talked about his sweet spot in his musicality. Lionel talked about his strong identity. Perry claimed he has figured this out and push himself into the star category! Get scared! When they talk about fashion…
Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon – Swing Low, Sweet Chariot by Joan Baez – third to perform. At the piano, he gave a soul based rendition with backup singers and the band. Lionel coined the bling and swing back talking about his range. Perry leaned in and yelled her preacher girl nonsense into the microphone, showing off again and again. She called him chosen. Luke went for the solid card performance, he got up from the piano and professional performance!
Laci Kaye Booth – To Love Somebody by Janis Joplin/Bee Gees – Her tone is so recognizable, just shut your eyes and play the video. This was a stylish professional performance from Laci. control, and enlisted the audience to actually clap along in unison! Perry, bigger the hair closer to God, a full-on superstar, keep singing and move across the stage and she could win. Luke claimed she stood her stand out in the song a big upward movement. Lionel uses the crowd to move along with each performance!
Alejandro Aranda – White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane – He changed to melody and notes this time around, felt somewhat darker than the original version, so it is nice to hear a change but will his audience vote for him? Luke talked about the embodying a Pink Floyd moment, rockstar indie moment. Lionel went to the clothes again, play with the microphone stand and other tips! Perry called it a fantastic performance, unique and individual performance with strong vocal.
Wade Cota – With a Little Help from My Friends by Joe Cocker/The Beatles – Shut your eyes…his voice is so distinctive…and he was more relaxed than last week. He reached for the top with this performance, with an ensemble of backup singers. Lionel goes off from his chairs and walked up and down knocked it out of the park. Perry – the best performance of the night. Luke called him moving the whole room.
