Steam Deck is just a first generation product that has problems like most first generation products. The $400 base model with a $60 or less 512 GB microSD card will make it worth it as it makes the GOAT emulation handheld.
Valve really needs to enable the 30fps cap by default for demanding games. It’s just not obvious for many users how much this improves battery life while being barely worse than unsteady framerates between 40 and 50

When the Steam Deck is living up to its promises, it’s absolutely incredible. Playing GTA 5, God of War, and other modern games on the go is an absolute joy. But those dizzying highs are all too often snapped away by insurmountable compatibility issues and a bummer of a battery.
