The remaining 4 celebrity recruits share heart-felt, farewell letters that they wrote to their families. Opening up to one another and sharing moments of vulnerability has strengthened their bond.
Gus is suffering a life-threatening anaphylactic shock reaction, he’s rushed to the emergency room to figure out what’s causing him so much pain.
In the most difficult challenge yet, the recruits are exposed to tear gas inside a shipping container while searching for essential medical supplies. Gus Kenworthy and Carli Lloyd are both terrified about the task ahead, one passes but one fails.
On the verge of quitting, Danny gets some words of encouragement from Dwight Howard but it’s his sit down with the Directing Staff where there is a shift. Things get emotional for Danny when he speaks about not being initially drafted in the NFL, feeling like an underdog and almost joining the army.
At the end of long day the recruits face a group punishment. Bachelorette Hannah Brown finds an inner strength while the athletes, Dwight Howard and Mike Piazza struggle but complete the task.
